Spirit Unveiled: The Opening Chapter

The Spirit of Pakistan Festival 2026 opens with a specially commissioned performance celebrating the cultural heritage, creativity and lived experiences of British Pakistanis.

Featuring acclaimed bansuri maestro Ali Shair, poet Khazina Iqbal and a collective of leading artists, the performance blends music, poetry, spoken word and storytelling in a compelling journey through memory, migration, identity and belonging. Drawing on the lyrical beauty of the Ghazal tradition alongside contemporary expression, personal stories intertwine with shared histories to reflect the experiences that have shaped generations of British Pakistanis and their lasting contribution to contemporary Britain.
