A Brum musical showcase

Sunset Sufi Sounds

Join us in the Outdoor Theatre for a magical summer evening celebrating the folk and Sufi music traditions of Pakistan, performed by some of Birmingham’s finest musicians. This special concert honours the artists and community groups whose passion has helped preserve these rich musical traditions for future generations.

Headlining the evening is Birmingham’s acclaimed Azad Kashmir Folk Group, recognised as leading exponents of Sher Khawani – a powerful devotional musical tradition rooted in the spiritual heritage of Potohar and Kashmir. They are joined by celebrated vocalist Lala Qadir, folk singer Tariq Sahir and Ustad Jaan Ali Khan & Ensemble, presenting an inspiring programme of Hamd, Naat, Sufiana Kalaam, Kafi and traditional dhamaal rhythms. As the sun sets, enjoy an uplifting celebration of music, spirituality, culture and community. Traditional snacks and refreshments will also be available for your enjoyment.
